Pride in London 2022 (London)
This year, as one of the main partners of Pride In London 2022, and funded by The National Lottery Community Fund's Awards For All scheme, Gaydio Academy has delivered radio skills training and mentoring for up to 20 participants from London. After training, the participants recorded and edited interviews about Pride in London for broadcast on our Evening Show and the Academy Website.
How The 2 days Went
Participants learnt the following skills on the course:

Queer Britain

Queer Tours of London

Glass House

Once the interviews were complete the participants were given the task of editing the interview down to 2-3 minutes ready to go on air the following week. Below is one of the participants, Simon's, edit for Glass House.

Pride in London 2022
Along with the 2 day course the participants where asked to come and join Gaydio to help with our street team and be in the parade for the day. Gaydio were gold media sponsors for 2022 and an amazing oppetunity to get the participants really involved in the day with the whole team, getting involved with social media and being a representive of Gaydio. WHAT THE STUDENTS THOUGHT

It was really great to meet everyone and try out some new things. I spoke about it at length in an interview with a perspective university who loved what I did with the Gaydio Academy and wanted to know more. Aced the interview and they then gave me a unconditional offer on the spot! So I’ll be on the broadcast journalism masters at City Uni from September! Thanks again!
